ELPD Project

English Language Proficiency Development Project (ELPD) aims to improve your language proficiency according to individual ability level. To accomplish this project, everyone has to show your improvement across this semester by submitting the portfolio. However, to reach that point, please follow these steps:

              1. Take a placement test at LI Lab (The lab that you do "Tell Me More" activity) in week 3.  The instruction and explanation about how to do the placement test is posted below for downloading. The score will be announced by the teacher in class in week 4.
              2. After knowing the score, download the portfolio cover according to your proficiency level. There are 3 levels.

                        - Beginner                    (Score between 0 - 19)    Failed the placement test**
                       Pre-intermediate   (Score between 20 -29)
                        -  Intermediate          (Score between 30 - 40)

Note: The portfolio covers can be downloaded below or from Online Digital Content (ODC)
which you need to log in for downloading
other worksheets. To access ODC, click the following link http://odc.bu.ac.th/login.aspx and put your username created by the
university and password. After log in, choose the academic year (2014) and course (EN 011).

              3. Do the activities indicated in the portfolio covers and collect all of the activity worksheets in a file. You can download the template that you need to fill in after doing each activity below. For those who are in Beginner or Intermediate level, you need to sign up for tutorial session via Google Form at the International Center.

Note: For those who need to produce a learning material, you can see the examples of the material below. However, all self-study
materials are provided in ODC. To produce the material, you can choose 1 topic in the provided list, design, and decorate your
own material in your style. Just try to keep the content as shown in the examples and follow the instruction given in the
                  coversheet template.

              4. Take a progress test at LI Lab in week 11.
              5. Submit the portfolio to the teacher in week 11.

For those whose progress test score are below 10 points, they need to do an extra activity called "I See U Program" to improve your language skills and submit in week 13. The worksheet can also be downloaded from ODC.

If you have any question about this project, you can ask me directly at my office or consult the teachers at both International Center (at the Library building) and English FreshUp Center (Building A6 Room A6-403).
